Self-portrait pictures that I took within the last few days. It’s usually easy to take these kind of photos because I’m using myself as the subject. I can get somewhat uncomfortable while taking photos of other people. I especially like lots of contrast and/or shadows in these kind of pictures.
Need ideas for photo themes
Since I just recently dusted off my camera and began using it again, I’ve been finding it difficult to get creative with it. I’m not a very creative person, but I seem to have a good eye (so I’ve been told). I’ve been wanting to do a theme involving disturbing/creepy things for quite a while, but could never come up with much. Does anybody have any interesting ideas that I could use for photo themes, preferably convenient ones?
My Personal Photographer’s Mantra…
It’s an opportunity first, garbage later. What I mean is, perceive everything as a potential photograph initially, analyze it and think about what you could make from it. Even something as seemingly worthless as a heap of trash could hold valuable potential if you take the time to see it rather than toss it in the incinerator so you can get back on facebook or whatever the hell you kids do these days.
